Checking today's updates…

This list updates the moment an event is flagged, so it's always current.

How you can help

Our hearts are with the communities facing wildfires right now, the people who have had to leave their homes, and the crews working to keep everyone safe.

The Canadian Red Cross Canadian Wildfire Fund supports families across the country before, during and after wildfires, from immediate relief for people forced from their homes to longer-term recovery. Every bit helps.

Prefer to give by phone? The Canadian Red Cross can be reached at 1-800-418-1111.

On smoky days

When the smoke rolls in here, it often means families somewhere else are living through something much harder. Keep windows closed and choose indoor plans where you can, especially for young children, older adults and anyone with asthma or heart conditions.

Keep an eye on the little ones and older folks, and remember pets can be affected by smoke too—keep them indoors and limit outdoor time on smoky days. Go gently on your lungs, check in on a neighbour, and use the latest Government of Canada reading in the button above.
