in our community.
Lambton Family Hub is creating a Fall Across Lambton County Guide featuring local fairs, seasonal events, places to visit and fall experiences families won’t want to miss.
Instead of filling it with stock photography, we want the guide to reflect what fall here really looks like — through photographs taken by members of our community.
We’re looking for favourite photos from past Lambton County fairs, along with fall colours, pumpkin patches, trails, markets, farms and other local seasonal traditions. You don’t need to be a professional photographer — a meaningful phone photo is welcome.
Choose a category
One winning photo will be selected from each category.
One photograph will be chosen to represent each of Lambton County’s five fall fairs, plus one for the overall Fall Across Lambton County category.
Every winning gift card is to a local business. Winners will be notified by email. Selected photographs are featured, with credit, in the new guide.
What we’re looking for
- Clearly represents the named fair or a recognizable Lambton County fall experience
- Feels warm, lively and genuinely local
- Works well as a large website image
- Has good lighting and reasonable clarity
- Avoids heavy filters, text, watermarks or collages
Original, full-resolution photographs are preferred. If your file is very large, we’ll gently shrink it for upload — winners can send us the original later.
Contest rules
- Open to residents of Sarnia-Lambton and the surrounding area. You may enter more than one category, but please submit each photo separately.
- Fair-category photos may be from any previous year. The overall Fall Across Lambton County photo should have been taken somewhere in Lambton County.
- You must have taken the photo yourself and have the right to share it, including permission from any clearly identifiable people (and, for recognizable children, from a parent or guardian).
- Entries close August 28, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Selected photographers are contacted by August 31, 2026.
- Six photos are selected by Lambton Family Hub. Each fair-category selection receives a $25 local gift card; the overall selection receives a $50 local gift card.
- You keep ownership of your photo. By entering, you grant Lambton Family Hub non-exclusive permission to publish it, with credit, on its website, newsletter and social media.
- This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook or Instagram.
