The story behind Lambton Family Hub
Lambton Family Hub is a free community events guide for families across Sarnia and Lambton County. No apps to download, no account to make, no cost.
Why it exists
Local family events were scattered. A splash pad meetup in one Facebook group, a library program somewhere else, a market posted only on a poster in a shop window. Good things were happening every week and parents were missing them, not because they did not care, but because there was nowhere to look.
So this became that place. One site, updated all week, covering the whole county.
What you can expect
- ✓The details that actually matter. Where it is, what ages it suits, what it costs, and whether you need to register.
- ✓The whole county. Sarnia, Petrolia, Forest, Corunna, Wyoming, Point Edward, Grand Bend and the communities in between.
- ✓Free for families, always. Free for organizers to list an event too.
- ✓Kept current. Events are checked and refreshed through the week, and cancellations get flagged.
Who is behind it
Lambton Family Hub is run by Amanda, a local parent. It started as a way to keep track of what was on for her own family, and grew once it became clear other parents were hunting for the same things.
It is a small operation, which means the occasional detail slips through. If you spot something wrong or out of date, please say so. Corrections are genuinely welcome.
How it stays free
Local businesses and organizations support the site as community partners. That is what keeps everything free for families, with no ads chasing you around the page.
If your organization would like to support it, the partner page explains how.
