Cut your own

Find your tree

The cut-your-own farms we could confirm are a short drive past the county line, so make a morning of it. Farms open in late November and set their hours each year: check before you go, and bring cash in case.

After Christmas

In recent Januarys, Habitat for Humanity Sarnia-Lambton and DeGroot’s Nurseries have picked up trees from the curb in Sarnia for a donation to Habitat’s builds. Watch for it after the holidays.

Late November into December

Catch a Santa Claus parade

Sarnia, Petrolia, Forest, Grand Bend, Corunna, Thedford and Watford all hold one, Wyoming has its Lit Up Tractor Parade, and in Alvinston the floats stay put while families walk past. Our parades page has every one we could confirm, plus a few just over the county line, with dates once two sources agree.
