Lambton Family HubLambton Family Hub is a free community resource for families in Sarnia and Lambton County. We collect as little information as possible, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
What we collect
When you sign up for our weekly newsletter, What's on This Weekend, we ask for two things:
- Your name
- Your email address
That is all. We do not ask for your phone number, your address, your age, or your children's information.
How we collect it
You give it to us directly, in one of these ways:
- By filling in the newsletter sign-up form on our website
- By filling in a sign-up form on one of our Facebook or Instagram posts or ads
We never buy email lists and we never add someone who did not sign up themselves.
What we use it for
We use your name and email for one purpose only: to send you the weekly newsletter with local events and family activities.
We do not send you anything else. No separate marketing emails, no third-party offers.
Who else sees it
Our newsletter is sent using Beehiiv, an email service that stores subscriber names and email addresses on our behalf. Beehiiv is only permitted to use this information to deliver our newsletter.
If you signed up through a Facebook or Instagram form, Meta holds a copy of what you submitted under their own privacy policy before we transfer it to Beehiiv.
We never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
Website analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. This tells us things like how many people opened the events page this week.
It does not tell us who you are. We cannot connect website visits to your name or your email address.
Unsubscribing
Every newsletter we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are removed. You do not have to give a reason.
You can also email us and we will remove you ourselves.
Seeing or deleting your information
You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted completely. Email us and we will take care of it.
Children
Lambton Family Hub is written for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the record.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
